Pam Lam, B.Mus.

June 3, 2015 By

pamMs. Lam has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician in North America and Asia, sharing her passion for piano playing. Pam received her Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Victoria while studying with Bruce Vogt. After graduation, Pam continued her music studies to become a Certified Instructor of both Kindermusik and the Kelly Kirby Piano Program.

In addition to her formal training and certification, Pam has also had the privilege of learning directly from world renowned musicians Eugene Skovorodnikov, Anna Vavilova and Ellen Silverman.

As an experience kindergarten teacher with strong passion and patience towards young children, she is also a member of the Heart of the City Piano Program, which strives to enhance the lives and learning opportunities of at-risk youth through a structured music program that runs in parallel with the regular school year.

With the belief that music has the power to illuminate and enhance lives, and to tap into the unique gift that each child can offer to the world, Pam strongly believes that every child deserves the opportunity to know, enjoy and grow with music. She is proud to have the opportunity to make the world around her a richer place by sharing her love and understanding of music with others and most importantly, of bringing music into the lives of children in a positive, supportive and encouraging manner through her position as an educator.
