Inna Rusanova, B.Mus., M.Mus.

June 2, 2015 By

Inna Rusanova, M.Mus. was born in Ukraine, where she studied piano from the age of 6 at Ukranian State Music School.

inaDuring this time Inna showed great passion for piano playing and was praised by her professors for participating and excelling in many local and regional piano competitions. Mrs. Rusanova successfully graduated from Khmelnytsky Music College with Bachelor’s Degree in Music and Kyiv University with Master’s Degree in Arts: Pedagogy Major. Additionally, Inna holds Professional Teaching Certificate from the National Academy of Culture in Ukraine.

Inna’s professional background has equipped with her solid practical skills combined with a deep understanding of music. Mrs. Rusanova has been working as a piano teacher, choir and chamber music accompanist, and theory teacher for over 23 years. Since 1995 she has been giving private classes for children and adults. In 2006, she was appointed the Director of the Children’s Art School, when she served as a Director and piano teacher. Her students participated in a lot of international music competitions and always won top prizes.

In 2011, Inna moved to Canada, where she continued her piano teaching career.

Inna is passionate about sharing her knowledge with each student to foster independence and deep understanding of the “art of piano playing” . Mrs. Rusanova helps set individual goals for students, whether it be to play for enjoyment, or to make piano their career. She believes that piano lessons should be a part of every child’s curriculum and students are encouraged to find where their passion lies – whether it is with classical, jazz, blues, movie themes, popular music, or even all of the above.

With Mrs.Rusanova’s teaching style, students not only learn music theory, but they also learn important skills such as self-discipline. They are taught and encouraged on how to stay committed to a long term goal.
