1. Do I need a drum set to begin taking lessons?
No you don’t. The essentials to begin with are: sticks, practice pad or snare drum, music stand and metronome. You can start drum lessons and begin your search for a drum set at the same time! It is however much more enjoyable to have a drum set to play on at home and We recommend you getting one within the first couple of months.

2. Where do I purchase a drum set?
The easiest place to purchase a drum set is at a music store. But there are many other sources: Craigslist, Online music sources such as Amazon, local music stores. When I am looking for new drum equipment my first stop is always Craigslist. It’s quick, easy and you can do your search in the comfort of your own home. You will likely pay significantly less on CL than at a music store and I can help steer to a good purchase.

3. How much does a drum set cost?
As with anything, drums can be very inexpensive to extremely expensive. A good quality beginners drum set that includes everything you need to get started should cost between $500 and $1000. The difference will lie in new vs. used and the quality of the accessories like cymbals, drum stool, cymbal stands etc.

4. Do we teach adults?
Yes! We teach all ages and have taught students as young as 5 to over 50!
