The World of Music and Arts is proud to present the world premier of Canadian composer Christopher Ludwig's art song cycle "Pictures from Brueghel" as performed by baritone Cliff Ridley and pianist Anna Vavilova. The concert will showcase a new and passionate setting of the Pulitzer Prize winning poetry of William Carlos Williams.

CLIFF RIDLEY - HIGH BARITONE
A native of Victoria BC, he studied at Victoria Conservatory of Music, the Banff Centre and the Courtenay Youth Music Centre. He Worked in the 20th centuryvocal repertoire with the distinguished Canadian soprano Frances James Adaskin. He was also fortunate to be able to fill out his vocal studies with Selena James and Catherine Wendol in Victoria, and with Robert Irwin and Dororthy Lawson in Winnipeg. He has performed frequently in Vancouverover the last few years and his repertiore ranges from the baroque to contemporary.
ANNA VAVILOVA - PIANO
Anna Vavilova - a celebrated pianist, recording artist, teacher, artistic director, writer, radio and TV host, producer, cofounder and founder of many important artistic institutions, have marked and changed the cultural life of Vancouver and Metro Vancouver for the better! Anna Vavilova, is a piano teacher here at World of Music and Arts.
