About Us

MISSION STATEMENT AND OBJECTIVES:

  • To encourage young musicians to learn more about themselves through their music
  • To provide a high quality of musical training in ensemble setting
  • To provide all members equal benefits and opportunities to develop musically
  • To provide a program that increases musical expectations from pre-junior to intermediate level
  • To provide a balanced musical education as a member of chamber ensemble, and as a soloist
  • To promote an understanding and appreciation of orchestral music in our communities

ENSEMBLE DIVISIONS:

Our ensemble is divided into several divisions; the placement of a musician is based on ability and experience – the only age restriction is that a player has to be between the ages of 5 and 25. See our Audition Section (top menu) for information about the playing standards required for each division.

  • Pre-Junoir Strings Emsemble
This is our introductory ensemble designed for young players and their first experience in playing in a group. Members are required to read music and have basic technical skills before joining. Auditions are NOT required. Repertoire – beginning string orchestra repertoire, RCM Grades I – III . Click Auditions, Rehearsals for more info...
  • Junior Strings Ensemble
Members of the Junior Strings have previous ensemble experience.  Members are now playing basic string orchestra repertoire. RCM level Grades III – VI. Click Auditions, Rehearsals for more info...
