About: 30 min. small group lessons - adventures filled with fun
games, sing alongs, movement, puzzles and mystery while learning to sing!!! The lessons are held in a spacious room equipped with a grand piano, a guitar, shakers, bells, drums and many other instruments to help every child learn about beat, rhythm, pitch and vocal production.
An example of 30 min. lesson plan:
“Roll Call” ~ sing along song with clapping
“Finger Plays” ~ sing along with hand movements, encouraging pitch development and self-confidence
“Get up and move!” ~ children stand up and dance, jump, slither, and move appropriately to each piece. This helps to develop an ear for tempo, style, and instrumentation.
“Do you hear what I hear?” ~ age appropriate ear training, pitch matching and rhythm echoes.
“Come on and play!" ~ each child plays along to a well-loved song on a variety of instruments including bells, shakers, glockenspiels, finger cymbals, drums and tambourines.

About: 45 min. small group lessons - adventures filled with fun games, sing alongs, movement, gem stone finger rings, puzzles and mystery while learning to play piano!!! The lessons are held in a spacious room equipped with 4 keyboards (each kid will have their own keyboard during the lesson), grand piano, music stands, chairs, as well as soft toys.
An example of 45 min. lesson plan:
“Roll Call” ~ sing along song with clapping
“Stone on the Mountain” ~ warm up wrists, encourage arm weight and round hand shape on the piano
“Gem Stone” for princesses and princes ~ different coloured rings for finger numbers while learning the finger numbers
(large sized plastic rings, too big to swallow, safe for young kids)
“Will you play?” ~ improvising with a duet using soft, loud, long and short notes
“Cookie Dough”pressing chocolate chips ~ firm finger tips on the keys

10:30AM - 11:15AM ~ Let's Meet & Make Musical Instruments
In this listening and drawing/crafting class children will be introduced to various musical symbols and instruments of the orchestra. Kids will make their own guitar, harp, violin, drums ect.. The Crafts use materials found will be provided: boxes, egg cartons, cardboxes, paper, strings, crayons, tape, glue, ect... We will explore, learn and listen to strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion and keyboard instruments. Let's meet the musical instruments abd have fun creating our own orchestral collage!

An Interactive way to start your morning right! The students will listen and learn famous Disney Songs and learn to act and sing in a group. At the same time kids will learn the concepts of chorus singing and different voice types: soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
9:45AM - 10:15AM Introductory Piano/Violin/Guitar Class
This class is to bring fun and music way for your students to learn to play Piano/Violin/Guitar. For those who already know how to play some, it's a chance to team up and make music together. Instrument Requirement: violin (available from WMA $10 per week rent included in tuition fee for Weeks 2 & 4)

Compare music of different genras (baroque, classical, romantic & contemporary). Students who play an instrument will try to compose their own song individually or in a group. Students who do not play an instrument will try their hand in conducting. The goal is that at the end of the week we'll have a project ready for presentation!

During this time you'll learn about how your voice works and how to produce a beautiful singing tone. There also will be an introduction to basic stage acting through theatre games and exercises.

The students will receive 10 hours of total instructions.
DRUMMERS, ACOUSTIC & BASS GUITARISTS, VOCALISTS, KEYBOARDISTS come together to form a band. Basic or Intermediate knowledge of an instrument is a MUST. The teacher and the group will select several contemporary pieces and rehearse them together for a final presentation and recording. At the end of the camp each student will receive a CD with their recorded performance.
The goal of this class is to learn how to play in a band and find your unique identity as a performer.
* The room is equipped with a professional Drum Set, Keyboard, Mic.
* Guitars are available for rent. ($15-20)
